2. Photograph Agathla Peak and Church Rock
Agathla Peak (El Capitan), a 1,500-foot volcanic plug, rises dramatically north of town on the way to Monument Valley, and Church Rock stands near the highway junction. Both are excellent, uncrowded photo stops, especially in low morning or evening light.
